Here's a couple of great links for Winter Fun in the McKellar area. Snowmobiling - The Parry Sound Snowmobile District site, covering many of the areas local trails. Trail conditions and maps are available on this site. Cross Country Skiing - Georgian Nordic Ski and Canoe Club offers an extensive system of cross country ski trails on Highway 124 at Nine Mile Lake. Skating - McKellar has an outdoor skating rink in behind the community centre. Parry Sound has a new outdoor skating rink (with a roof) on the town side of the junction at highways 69 and 124. The Twin Stand Theatre - for days when you need to go see a movie. This is not a commercial endorsement ... simply a public service! |
